1. Book an appointment with Craft Psychology through this link.
   

2. Make an appointment with your General Practitioner (GP) requesting a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). Note that your GP appointment will need to be before your first session with Craft Psychology to get the rebate for that session.
   

3. You will be emailed some forms to be added to our books (intake, consent, and a quick symptom check).
   

4. Email back these forms with your MHCP and referral letter to Craft Psychology. Alternatively, you may also request for your GP to have this emailed to us on ‘lucas@craftpsychology.com.au’ prior to your appointment.
   

5. After your appointment(s) you will be sent an invoice. Transfer the total amount to the account number provided within 2-3 business days.
   

6. A receipt will be issued within 2-3 business days.
   

7. This receipt can be used to get your repayment from Medicare (here is a link to a guide: https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/medicare-online-account-help-submit-claim)
   

8. After 6 sessions return to your GP to request a Mental Health Care Plan Review (this can sometimes be done over telehealth).
   

9. Bring the MHCP-Review/email them to Craft Psychology with to your next appointment to claim another 4 Medicare rebates.

A maximum of 10 sessions can be claimed within a calendar year.

To check the number of sessions used on your MHCP, or how many sessions you have claimed within the current calendar year, log onto MyGov and click through to Medicare. Under the ‘History and statements’ tab, click ‘Medicare claims history’. This will show you all of your processed claims with your therapist.
